Hurricane Sandy Leadership Messages

Main Content

On October 26, 2012, as  Hurricane Sandy moved northwest towards the east coast of the United States, Deputy Administrator Serino personally began writing to the FEMA workforce to keep them updated on the activities of FEMA leadership and the progress of the response and recovery efforts. It is our pleasure to maintain this journal of messages as a timeline for all employees to refer to as they reflect on the success of their efforts.

Hurricane Sandy was the eighteenth named storm of the 2012 Atlantic Hurricane Season and a stark reminder that hurricane season is not officially over until November 30th.
