2005 Hurricane Season

The Hurricane Season of 2005 was the busiest one ever recorded. There were 26 named storms, resulting in eleven federal disaster declarations. Tropical Storm Arlene emerged on June 8, just a week after the official start of Hurricane Season. Hurricane Katrina became one of the most devastating storms in history, taking hundreds of lives across the Gulf Coast and forcing the largest relocation in American history.
