Looking Back over the past six years, we have seen recovery momentum building across Louisiana, particularly throughout Orleans Parish. As we pause to reflect upon Katrina and Rita’s accomplishments across six noteworthy sectors, six years of recovery has led us to recognizable accomplishments across six noteworthy sectors. These sector highlights, each with their own designated recovery Web page noted above, include individuals and families, education and learning, health care, public safety, infrastructure, and lastly partnerships—all of which run the gamut of FEMA’s mission to support Louisiana’s full restoration.
Thank you for visiting our FEMA LRO Sixth Year Web site—commemorating many of the great successes throughout New Orleans and surrounding communities. So, please take a look around and learn more about Louisiana’s upward recovery momentum six years after hurricanes Katrina and Rita. As this momentum continues to grow, FEMA will stay steadfast in our resolve to best aid this great state and her determined people.
