Pre-Disaster Mitigation

Fiscal Year 2010

2010 Guidance

The Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) grant program is administered by FEMA to provide a consistent source of funding to States, Territories, Indian Tribal governments, and local governments for pre-disaster mitigation planning and projects primarily addressing natural hazards. Funding these plans and projects reduces overall risks to the population and structures, while also reducing the reliance on funding from actual disaster declarations.

The FY 2010 PDM Program Guidance provides information and guidance on implementing the PDM program in FY 2010, including program requirements, eligibility, and grants management. The FY 2010 Hazard Mitigation Assistance Unified Guidance may be downloaded from the FEMA Library.

List of FY 2010 Pre-Disaster Mitigation Grant Recipients

FEMA has selected the following FY 2010 PDM grants for further review in preparation for funding. As pre-award activities, including environmental/historic preservation reviews, are completed, grants will be awarded.   A List of PDM Grants for Fiscal Year 2010 can be found in the FEMA library.
