State Model Letter

The purpose of this letter is to request funding consideration through the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Fiscal Year (FY) 2007 Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) Program for [CITE # OF PROPERTIES] properties previously submitted as part of the State application for the FY 2007 Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) Program.  In a letter dated [INSERT DATE], FEMA notified the State that the [INSERT NAME] sub-application[s] PDMC-PJ-[INSERT #] was [were] determined to be eligible, but not selected for further review.

Our staff have reviewed the FMA guidance and determined the referenced PDM application[s] would be eligible for consideration under the FMA Program.  We are verifying that the Applicant and/Sub-applicant will provide a 25% match with at least 12.5% being a hard match.  [The State also requests consideration of associated management costs, enclosed for both the Applicant and Sub-applicant.]
