As Federal employees, we have a range of responsibilities to our families, loved ones, communities, and the American public. By preparing for emergencies, we can enhance the safety of our families and strengthen our ability to carry out our work.
Following the guidance of the Ready Campaign, the FEMA Office of National Capital Region Coordination has developed a new printable brochure titled “Emergency Preparedness for Federal Employees in the National Capital Region.” This guide encourages Federal employees and the whole community in the Washington, DC area to take practical steps to better prepare themselves and their families for emergencies that could threaten their homes, workplaces, and communities.
The brochure is specifically tailored to employees at the workplace and the National Capital Region and provides information on being informed, making a plan, building a kit, and getting involved.
The brochure is available in the FEMA Library:
