FEMA Region IX, Pacific Area Office

The FEMA Pacific Area Office (PAO) was established in 1993 to support mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery Disaster Recovery Center in Kapaefforts for “all-hazards” with Emergency Management & Civil Defense and other state, local and federal agencies, in the Pacific Region. 

The Pacific Area Office Mission is to:

  • Provide a pro-active OCONUS FEMA presence, implement programs and provide disaster response and recovery in the Pacific.
  • Provide coordinating and planning lead for territorial, state and local governments in the PAO area of responsibility. 
  • Coordinate with other Federal Agencies and military commands serving the Pacific Area.
