The Office of National Capital Region Coordination’s National Preparedness Month Outreach will kickoff at FEMA Headquarters in the Holiday Inn Courtyard on Thursday, August 30, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Please come out visit the National Capital Region and Ready staff to learn about personal and family preparedness.

The outreach goals and objectives follow the Ready Campaign by encouraging people to do four key things: be informed, make a plan, build a kit, and get involved.

A variety of preparedness brochures will be available including the new guide Emergency Preparedness for Federal Employees in the National Capital Region.
