On June 4, 2012, the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer welcomed the new Records Management Division Director, Charlene Myrthil.
Myrthil comes to FEMA with a wealth of management and leadership experience. Prior to joining FEMA, she served as the Deputy Executive Director of the Enterprise Business Management Office in DHS’ Office of the Chief Information Officer. Myrthil brings 18 years of experience in program management, customer service, accounting, and training and development from both the public and private sectors. She has an extensive background in the fields of records management and information collection activities:
- Oversight of DHS Forms Management, Privacy Impact Assessments, Freedom of Information Act , and Systems of Record Notice Resolution
- Management and oversight of Department-wide Paperwork Reduction Act and Government Paperwork Elimination Act programs
- Close association with integrating e-Records, e-Discovery, and e-FOIA initiatives
Myrthil is a subject matter expert in IT business management and governance, process redesign, as well as performance and productivity improvement.
