NEW Office/Program

Office of External Affairs

PFT / Web Program Specialist, GS-9 to GS-13

FEMA’s Ready Campaign is seeking an eager and dynamic individual to serve as its web program specialist for its family of websites under Ready.gov.  This position would assist in the on-going management, development and outreach connected to its digital assets that include its social media channels.  This position will provide great experience in web site management and digital outreach to include drafting written materials and learning how to incorporate the tools of digital communications into an emergency management preparedness campaign.

Office of the Chief Administrative Officer

PFT / Management Analyst, GS-12

The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer has a 30-day Management Analyst, GS-12 Rotational Assignment available.

  • Coordinates the vetting of Directives Agency-wide
  • Manages the tracking of Directives from inception to approval
  • Converts documents to approved 508 compliant templates
  • Ensures all documents are 508 compliant
  • Multi-tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Works collaboratively with diverse teams
  • Liaise with internal Program Offices
  • Other duties as assigned, to include a wide variety of Records and Directives projects

Federal Insurance and Mitigation Administration

PFT / Financial Program Specialist, GS-13

The Policy, Analysis and Resources Section, of the Policy, Resources and Communications Branch within the Federal Insurance and Mitigation Administration, is seeking a GS-13 to perform a variety of duties, including financial research and statistical data analysis , designing budget formulation process and facilitating the process, and presentation and execution of activities.

Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Risk Management and Compliance Division

PFT / Financial Management Specialist, Accountant, GS-11 to GS-13

The individual filling this position will work within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer at FEMA.  The mission of FEMA is to “support our citizens and first responders to ensure that as a nation we work together to build, sustain, and improve our capability to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from, and mitigate all hazards.”  The Risk Management and Compliance Division within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer manages resources to help FEMA program offices fulfill the FEMA mission.   Maintaining accountability to the public, Congress, the Office of Management and Budget and DHS, FEMA’s Risk Management and Compliance Division ensures that FEMA effectively manages financial risk and maintains compliance with standards set by FEMA and other government entities.

FEMA’s Public Affairs Division is looking for an energetic person to serve on its Internal Communications Team.  This position would assist in the on-going development and support for the agency’s internal communication efforts.  The position will provide great experience in drafting written materials and learning how to incorporate the tools of digital communications (including web and social media platforms).

Grant Programs Directorate, Grant Operations – Award Administration/Mitigation Branch

PFT / Grants Management Specialist, GS-09 to GS-13

Grant Programs Directorate is currently seeking an individual at the GS-9/11/12 or GS-13 level for a detail, not to exceed 120 days, to temporarily fill the position of a grants management specialist within the Award Administration Branch.  Performs a variety of pre-and post-awards functions for grants and/or cooperative agreements.  Conducts financial review of grantee’s application and determine whether the budget and budget narrative accurately explain the project costs and whether those costs are reasonable, necessary, and allowable.

Grant Programs Directorate, Assistant Administrators Office

PFT Executive Officer, GS-14/15

Grant Programs Directorate is currently seeking an individual at the GS-14 or GS-15 level for a detail, not to exceed 120 days, to temporarily fill the position of executive officer.  Serves as the Executive Officer to the Grants Program Directorate assistant and deputy assistant administrator in the conceptualization and development of policies, plans and programs in the coordination and integration of policies, guidelines, procedures and activities to ensure effective, efficient administrative and office procedures.

Office of Policy and Program Analysis

PFT/ Program Analyst, GS-11-14

FEMA and the entire emergency management community are called to be our best during times of national crisis; and the past three decades presented challenges and conditions that necessitate continuous reevaluation of how we deliver emergency management services. To address those challenges, FEMA’s senior leadership uses a performance-based management process called FEMASTAT. This process involves a series of frequent, integrated meetings during which principal members of the FEMA leadership team use current data to analyze performance and identify solutions for ongoing problems. FEMASTAT is managed by the Office of Policy and Program Analysis, which is seeking several people for three-six month rotational assignments to the FEMASTAT team.
