External Rotation Program
For the third year in a row FEMA is announcing the opportunity for a limited number of FEMA personnel to work on an extended detail with a state, county or city emergency management organization. This program will provide employees a unique opportunity to “walk in the shoes” or our emergency management partners, and contribute to a better understanding of and greater appreciation for the challenges our counterparts face at the customer level. In addition, this year we have added opportunities for employees to rotate at Regional and National Headquarters offices. The listing of this year Regional and National Headquarter Office open opportunities and their requirements can be found in the Human Capital Toolbox under Employee Resources on the intranet.
Employees who are interested in such an opportunity should email an application to External_Rotation_Program@fema.dhs.gov by close of business August 3rd 2012. Note that submission of an application is no guarantee of future selection. The application must include:
Resume; not exceeding 3 pages (please remove social security number). Include type of employee; PFT or CORE.
FEMA Form 646-0-0-7 (also found at the attached webpage)
Applicants may apply for more than one opportunity. However, they must meet the qualifications of as stated in the announcement and the summary notice. Resumes will only be forwarded to the appropriate Agency if they meet the pre-requisite requirements.
