(Editor’s note: This memo from Carla H. Gammon, Acting CCHCO was distributed to all CORE and DAE/Reservist Employees on Wednesday, August 1, 2012.)
The Employee Viewpoint Survey will launch to Stafford Act employees in August 2012 and we invite employees to participate through a link that employees will receive by individual email. This means that for the first time CORE and Reservist employees will be eligible to participate in giving input through the survey. This is a major step forward in ensuring the input of our full FEMA workforce.
The Employee Viewpoint Survey is a crucial tool for evaluating the dynamics of FEMA that impact an essential asset, the FEMA workforce. The survey asks questions about work experiences, performance culture, leadership, job satisfaction, recruitment, development and retention. The survey also asks demographic questions about your tenure with the agency, and your supervisory status. We encourage employees to participate as the results of the survey are a source for obtaining input from FEMA employees to influence policies, programs, and operation of the Agency.
The survey should take about 15 minutes of your time. OPM will be aggregating results for us to ensure that results are confidential and no individual responses are identifiable. We will be analyzing survey results later this year and then using those results to make improvements with the goal of making FEMA more effective and a better place to work.
FEMA employees will be receiving an e-mail from OPM that provides a log-in and link to the survey. The e-mail will come from USASurvey@opm.gov. This e-mail address is safe and should be trusted. General questions can be directed to the Office of Chief Component Human Capital point of contact Vanessa Graf Wallace at Vanessa.firstname.lastname@example.org. If you have any technical questions about how to complete the survey, please contact Beckie Vischulis at USASurvey@opm.gov.
We thank all FEMA employees for their continued dedication and service.
