August 10 Lessons in Leadership workshop

The August 10 Lessons in Leadership workshop invitation has been extended to the first 50 registrations received from GS1 – GS7 (or TSA pay band equivalent) DHS employees. There is no fee to attend this event.

What:

This workshop focuses on the leadership lessons learned from Ernest Shackleton’s polar expedition. The session includes a beautifully filmed IMAX DVD which offers stunning scenery of the Antarctic waters and actual photographs from the 1914 expedition. Through discussion and activities, participants will identify specific leadership behaviors which are effective when managing a crisis and building teamwork.

8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Where:

Immigration and Customs Enforcement-  Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center at 2451 Crystal Drive, Arlington, Virginia 22202 – Lobby Level Auditorium. Crystal City metro stop - take either the yellow or blue line to the Crystal City stop.  Exit the metro and walk east on 18 Street South, turn right and walk south on Crystal Drive until you reach 2451. Enter the lobby, walk past the elevators and through the door with double brass handles. The auditorium is a few feet down the hall.

Registration will close after we have received 50 registrations.
