West
Snow will end in the northern and central Rockies by early afternoon; however, several additional inches of snow are possible during the morning hours. Showers are forecast for the coastal areas by midday, moving inland during the afternoon. Accumulating snow should fall at most major passes through the Cascades late this afternoon and evening.
Midwest
A cold front extends from the upper Midwest through the eastern Plains spreading showers from Minnesota and Michigan southward to Kansas and Missouri today. Some wet snow may mix with the showers over Nebraska, South Dakota, and North Dakota. The only snow accumulations forecast are in the Black Hills where 2 to 6 inches could fall by tonight. On Tuesday the showery storm system moves eastward into the Mississippi Valley with the possibility of wet snow occurring as far east as western Minnesota and western Iowa by Tuesday evening.
Northeast
Rain will move into Virginia in the morning and move to Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and the New England coast by Monday evening. Tuesday morning, rain is expected along the New England coast from Cape Cod northward through Maine. Winds along the coast today may reach 15 to 25 mph by afternoon from New Jersey northeast through Cape Cod. The winds peak tonight from Long Island to southern Maine with winds of 20 to 35 mph with a few gusts over 40 mph possible. The wind should slowly subside over the whole region on Tuesday. Some minor water rise and coastal flooding is possible at high tides today and Tuesday. The high tides of most concern from Virginia through New Jersey are this afternoon and early Tuesday morning. For Long Island and New England, the high tides of most concern occur Tuesday morning and late afternoon/evening.

Light to moderate rainfall continues over North Carolina through much of today. Cloudy skies with occasional drizzle and light rain is possible across South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama especially during the morning as the storm slowly moves away. Thunderstorms are expected across central and southern Florida during the afternoon and evening hours. Tonight and Tuesday the rain ends over eastern sections, but increases across Texas and the lower Mississippi Valley with the possibility of some thunderstorms in Texas.
