Scattered showers and thunderstorms, some severe, will occur in parts of the Great Lakes, Middle-Mississippi Valley and Central Plains.

Some showers and thunderstorms are forecast from the Carolinas westward to the northern half of Texas and southern Oklahoma.
West
Showers and thunderstorms are possible along the Rockies and adjacent High Plains. Sunny skies and hot temperatures will prevail for the West Coast from the Desert Southwest to the Pacific Northwest. Excessive Heat Warnings are in effect from this afternoon through Tuesday for parts of California and Arizona, and through Wednesday for the interior portions of southwest Washington and northwest Oregon.
Northeast
