West:
An upper level low, stalled off the coast of California, will produce shower and thunderstorm activity from Northern California and Oregon to the Great Basin. Some locally heavy rainfall is possible, especially in the higher elevations. The California and Oregon border will receive more than an inch of rain by tomorrow. The tail end of a frontal system extending eastward across the country to a low in New England will bring precipitation to the Front Range of Wyoming and Colorado.
Midwest:
Expect widespread showers and thunderstorms (gusty winds, large hail and an isolated threat of tornados) along the front from the Central Plains through the Ohio Valley.
South:
South of the front, the region will be dry under a ridge of high pressure. Expect isolated showers and thunderstorms in south Florida and more widespread activity in Texas and Oklahoma as the western portion of the front drops southward.
Northeast:
The frontal system will produce scattered showers and thunderstorms from Southern New England to the Mid-Atlantic and the Central Appalachians. North of the front, Northern New England will see partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies. (National Weather Service, various media sources)
