Significant National Weather

Midwest
Winter storm and lake-effect snow warnings are posted for portions of northern Michigan, where a foot or more of snow is possible for parts of the Upper Peninsula and northwest Lower Michigan. Rain showers will move out of southeast Ohio and Kentucky during the course of the day.
Northeast
Lake-effect snows off Lakes Erie and Ontario are forecast for today and tonight. A lake-effect snow watch is in effect for areas adjacent to the eastern end of Lake Ontario.
South
Showers, heavy rain, and some isolated thunderstorms will push eastward through the Deep South and mid-South. By evening, the showers will extend from the Southern Appalachians to the Florida Panhandle.
West
Up to three inches of snow is expected in southeast Wyoming and northeast Colorado, including the Denver area, with greater snowfall amounts in the foothills and along the east slopes of the Rockies. (NOAA, National Weather Service and Various Media Sources)
