Significant National Weather
West:
Hot, dry conditions will continue over the next couple of days. High temperatures will range from the 70s and 80s in eastern Washington, northern Idaho and Montana to well into the 100s and 110s in the deserts of the Southwest.
Midwest:
A front moving through eastern Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Arkansas is forecast to produce damaging wind gusts, hail and heavy rain through Monday morning. Temperatures are forecast to be 5 to 10 degrees below average with most highs in the 60s and 70s.
South:
Scattered thunderstorms are possible today along the Southeast coast, southern Georgia, South Carolina and Florida. High temperatures will generally be in 90s across the South with 100s in central and western Texas.
Northeast:
A cold front is forecast to move into the region today producing potentially severe thunderstorms with damaging wind gust and hail. Highs will range from the 70s over the interior and low 90s along the coastal plain. (NWS, Media Sources)
Midwest Severe Weather and Flooding
Widespread, significant flooding continues across parts of southeast Illinois and southern Indiana. With no rain forecast in the western portion of the basin, there is little potential for any addition flooding today through Sunday.

Illinois:
- Governor requested expedited Major Disaster Declaration for direct Federal assistance for 13 counties

Indiana:
- State EOC Level II activation, 24/7 with full ESF support

- Waste water treatment plant failed in Owen County
- National Guard reports 27 high hazard dam inspections complete; voluntary evacuations underway in area of two dams.

Wisconsin:
- President signed Major Disaster Declaration FEMA-1768-DR for Wisconsin for 6 counties and Hazard Mitigation statewide.
- EOC activated with ESFs 1, 3, 5, 6 and 8.

Iowa:

Kansas:

Missouri:
- Governor has declared a State of Emergency and activated the MO National Guard
- State EOC activated at Level 2, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. CDT.
- 2 additional Coast Guard DART teams enroute to St. Louis in response to flooding
- 2 MDRC units have been moved to Jefferson City for possible forward deployment in NE Missouri.
