South
High pressure will build across the south bringing a warming trend. A few showers may also develop over the southeastern coastal areas.
West
Snow will fall in the lower elevations around the Puget Sound, including Seattle. Elsewhere look for snow showers (mixed with rain in southwest Oregon) and steadier snows in the mountains from the Cascades to the Tetons. High temperatures will range from the 20s and 30s in the Northwest to the 70s in far southeast California and southwest Arizona.
Northeast
Snow will extend south and southeast of Lake Ontario, through the northern suburbs of Syracuse. One to two feet of snow may fall in some locations. Snow band will extend east of Lake Erie, well south of Buffalo. Twelve to eighteen inches of snow can be expected in these areas. The Northeast will see partly cloudy skies and chilly temperatures.
Midwest
Snow flurries across parts of northern Minnesota and Michigan. The Plains will be mostly sunny with increasing south to southwesterly winds. High temperatures should range from the 20s in Canadian border areas to the 50s in much of Kansas, southeast Nebraska and most of Missouri. (NWS, Media Sources)
