South:
A low pressure system off the Southeast coast will bring rain and strong winds to the area Tuesday. Beach erosion and coastal flooding may result from winds along the coastal areas of North Carolina and Georgia.
Highs in the region are expected to be 10-15 degrees below average.
Meanwhile, the Lower Mississippi Valley and Southern Plains will experience sunny weather with highs in the 50s-60s.
West:
More rain and windy weather is forecast for Washington and Oregon. Highs in the Pacific Northwest and Great Basin will be in the 40s-50s.
Meanwhile, the Southwest will continue to experience dry and sunny weather with highs in the 80s.
Northeast:
Sunny and dry weather is forecast for the region. High temperatures will range from the 30s to the 40s.
Midwest:
Most of the region will be dry and sunny with moderate temperatures. Highs will range from the 30s in the Great Lakes area to the 50s-60s in the Missouri Valley and northern Plains. (National Weather Service, various Media Reports)
Atlantic/Gulf of Mexico/Caribbean Sea:
Tropical cyclone formation is not expected through Wednesday.
Central and Eastern Pacific:
At 7:00 pm EST Monday, remnants of Tropical Depression Sergio were located about 200 miles southwest of Manzanillo, Mexico. Redevelopment into a tropical cyclone is not expected. Elsewhere, tropical storm formation is not expected through Wednesday.
Western Pacific:

New York: Individual Assistance and Public Assistance PDAs for nine counties were scheduled to begin November 20, 2006, as a result of severe storms November 16, 2006.
Oregon: Public Assistance PDAs are scheduled to begin the week of November 27, 2006.
