West:
A fast-moving new storm system is expected to move through the Washington and Oregon coastal areas on Sunday bringing 1-3 inches of rainfall and high winds gusting up to 60 miles per hour. The precipitation will become snow in the higher elevations of the Pacific Northwest.
The Southwest, including southern California, will see dry and sunny weather with high temperatures in the 80s.
Midwest:
Cold and windy weather is forecast for the Ohio Valley and parts of the Great Lakes area with highs in the 30s-40s.
South:
Cold air is expected to push into the Southeast on Sunday and Monday bringing highs in the 40s-50s to Florida and other parts of the Southeast.
The Southern Plains will see warm and sunny weather with highs in the 60s.
Northeast:
High temperatures will range from the 30s to the 50s north to south.
Some scattered rainfall and mixed snow/rain is expected in the area from western New York to West Virginia. (National Weather Service, various Media Reports)
Atlantic/Gulf of Mexico/Caribbean Sea:
Tropical cyclone formation is not expected through Monday.
Central and Eastern Pacific:
Tropical Storm Sergio is centered about 235 miles south of Manzanillo, Mexico. Sergio is expected to dissipate within the next 48 hours. Based on the current warning Sergio poses no threat to the United States. Elsewhere, tropical storm formation is not expected through Monday.
Western Pacific:

Oregon: Public Assistance PDAs are scheduled to begin the week of November 27, 2006.

Light wildland fire activity was reported for the week of November 17 with 241 new fires reported in the U.S. Two new large fires were reported in California and Texas. Two large fires were contained in California and Kentucky.
