Private Sector Industry Partners

Alert Origination Tool Providers produce technology, tools, and software applications that can be used by Alerting Authorities to create and send alert messages.

Public Alerting System Providers are those who make technology available to distribute alert and warning messages to the public. They are generally commercial organizations, including EAS participants, commercial mobile service providers, and internet service providers. They can also be a government agency such as the National Weather Service.

Private Sector Industry partners are comprised of representatives from private sector companies with recognized equities in the alert and warning field. Since the majority of the infrastructure needed to accomplish the IPAWS mission is owned and operated by the private sector, the private sector is a key partner in the development and implementation of IPAWS.
