DENVER—If you’re a large or small business hard hit by Colorado’s severe storms and flooding, you may be able to get the help you need to get back in business faster.  A fourth Business Recovery Center (BRC) has opened in Weld County, at the Greeley Chamber of Commerce, 902 7th Avenue. BRCs are operated by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Colorado Small Business Development Centers (SBDC). SBA and SBDC business consultants can advise owners through each step of the way at no cost.

DENVER – Mitigation specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be in Greeley, Littleton, Longmont, Louisville, Monument and N Lakewood to provide free rebuilding information Thursday, Oct. 3, through Tuesday, Oct. 8.Advisers have suggestions and publications to help homeowners, renters and business owners protect their properties against damaging winds, floods and fires, and reduce damages from future events. Mitigation measures also may reduce mold and mildew and protect electrical systems, furnaces and other appliances.

DENVER – The Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Greeley will relocate near its current location in Weld County.The new address: Island Grove Exhibition Hall527 N. 15th Ave.Greeley, CO 80631The move will take place after the normal closing today at 7 p.m., MDT, Oct. 1.The DRC will reopen at 1 p.m., MDT, on Wednesday, Oct. 2.Normal business hours - 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., MDT - will resume Thursday, Oct. 3.

DENVER – Throughout flood-damaged areas of Colorado, 245 young FEMA Corps members in distinctive blue uniforms are joining the effort to help Coloradans recover.FEMA Corps is a partnership between the AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). DENVER – The city of Evergreen is the newest location for a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC). DENVER – Disaster-related legal services are provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) through an agreement with the Young Lawyers division of the American Bar Association.  The services provide assistance to low-income individuals who are unable to secure legal services to meet their disaster-related needs.Legal advice is limited to cases that do not produce a fee. Cases that may generate a fee, such as cases where attorneys are paid part of the settlement, are turned over to the local lawyer referral service.

DENVER – Non-English speaking applicants who were impacted by the recent severe storms, floods, mudslides and landslides in Colorado can receive information and assistance in their native language.Limited English Proficiency/Accessible Communication Needs (LEP/ACN) Specialists (Translators) from FEMA, who speak Spanish and other languages, are available at Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) to assist applicants.
