After you register for disaster assistance with FEMA, you may receive a letter in the mail with a Small Business Administration (SBA) return address. You need to open it and complete the forms inside even if you are not a business. It's a critical step in the recovery process; whether or not you want a low-interest loan, if you do not return your SBA application, you may miss out on other assistance from FEMA.
Applicants may also apply online:
Or by calling:
- 800-659-2955 (TTY 800-877-8339)
You can also visit with a SBA representative at any of the New York State/FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers or at the 18 SBA Business Recovery Centers that are currently open.
