ALBANY, N.Y. -- More state and federal Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) will open on Tuesday, September 27, and Wednesday, September 28, to assist individuals, households and businesses affected by Tropical Storm Lee and the subsequent flooding, according to state and federal officials. Operating hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, until further notice. ALBANY, N.Y. -- The Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Tioga County assisting individuals, households and businesses affected by Tropical Storm Lee and the subsequent flooding, will change its location on Monday, September 26. The new location is: Tioga CountyThe Church of the Nazarene3732 Waverly Road, Owego, NY 13827 Operating hours will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, closed Sundays.

ALBANY, N.Y. -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced that government entities in six counties are now eligible for disaster assistance to help pay for emergency response costs and repairs to damaged facilities as a result of Tropical Storm Lee. These counties are: Broome, Chenango, Delaware, Otsego, Tioga and Tompkins. FEMA's public assistance program reimburses local government, state agencies, and certain private non-profits for 75 percent of the approved costs.

ALBANY, NY - Residents who are unemployed as a direct result of the recent flooding caused by Tropical Storm Lee and who live or work in Chemung County may now be eligible for weekly benefit payments under the Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) program, state and federal officials announced today.
