ALBANY, N.Y. - State and federal officials have announced that two additional counties are now eligible to receive disaster assistance designed to help affected individuals and local governments recover from the effects of the recent flooding caused by Tropical Storm Lee.

ALBANY, N.Y. -- Federal and state emergency management officials said today that a Mobile Disaster Recovery Center (MDRC) will open for three days in Bainbridge on Monday, Oct. 10, to assist individuals, households and businesses affected by Tropical Storm Lee. The MDRC will be open through Wednesday, Oct. 12, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Municipal Parking Lot, 28 North Main Street.

ALBANY, N.Y. -- Two more state and federal Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) will open this week, one in Broome County on Wednesday, October 5, and the other in Chemung County on Thursday, October 6. The DRCs will assist individuals, households and businesses affected by Tropical Storm Lee and the subsequent flooding, according to state and federal officials. ALBANY, N. Y.  – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced that government entities in two additional counties are now eligible for disaster assistance to help pay for emergency response costs and repairs to damaged facilities as a result of Tropical Storm Lee.  These counties are Chemung and Orange. FEMA’s public assistance program reimburses local government, state agencies, and certain private non-profits for 75 percent of the approved costs.
