ALBANY, N.Y. -- Mitigation experts from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be at the 35th Herkimer County Arts & Crafts Fair this weekend to offer information on preparing for future disasters, flood insurance and rebuilding safer and stronger. FEMA staff will have a display booth at the Arts & Crafts Fair, on Saturday, Nov. 12, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 13, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Herkimer County Community College, 100 Reservoir Road, Herkimer, N.Y. 13350.

ALBANY, N.Y. – State and federal Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) in Broome, Schoharie and Tioga counties will close at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, according to officials from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Closing are the centers at the Vestal Public Library in Vestal, the Nichols Elementary School in Nichols and the Volunteer Emergency Squad building in Richmondville.

ALBANY, N.Y. – Beginning Monday, Nov. 7, the hours of operation for all state and federal Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) in New York will change. The new hours will be Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The facilities are closed on Sundays. All DRCs will be closed in observance of the upcoming Veterans Day national holiday Friday, Nov. 11 and will reopen Saturday, Nov. 12 at 9:00 a.m.
