HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Some individuals who registered for federal disaster assistance due to Hurricane Irene and/or Tropical Storm Lee may have been denied aid. An appeals process, however, can ensure those affected by the storms will receive all benefits for which they are legally eligible. “The recovery process doesn’t necessarily end with the initial determination,” said Federal Coordinating Officer Thomas J. McCool. “Sometimes ineligibility may just mean that more information is needed.”

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Officials of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) announced the Lancaster and Northumberland County DRCs will close on Friday, November 11.         The DRC Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. They close permanently at 7 p.m. on Friday, Veteran’s Day. HARRISBURG, Pa. -- The hours of operation for all Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) serving survivors of Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will change on Monday, November 7, disaster officials announced today. The new DRC hours will be: Monday through Friday – 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday – Closed All DRCs will be open Veterans’ Day, Friday, November 11.

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Pennsylvanians now have an additional 30 days to register for disaster aid. At the request of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has extended the registration deadline for anyone who suffered damage from Hurricane Irene and/or Tropical Storm Lee to December 14.
