HARRISBURG, Pa. -- The National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) is offering agent training seminars on flood insurance in several locations across Pennsylvania. The free seminars will cover basic insurance issues and also focus on how best to assist NFIP policyholders after a flooding event. The seminar is approved for three hours of Pennsylvania continuing education credit, and meets the minimum flood insurance training requirements for the Commonwealth.

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Homeowners, renters and business owners in Huntingdon and Monroe counties are now eligible for Individual Assistance to help recover from the effects of Tropical Storm Lee, which struck the Commonwealth on September 3. In addition to Huntingdon and Monroe, the counties under the disaster declaration are Adams, Berks, Bucks, Bradford, Chester, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Lancaster, Lebanon, Luzerne, Lycoming, Montgomery, Montour, Northampton, Northumberland, Perry, Philadelphia, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Union, Wyoming and York.

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- The FEMA Hazard Mitigation Outreach teams currently providing storm-damage repair and rebuilding advice in Lancaster and Snyder Counties will continue doing so for another week. Originally scheduled through Monday, October 24, the teams’ stays have been extended in response to homeowner demand for information that helps them build back safer, smarter and stronger. They will be at the following Lowe’s from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, through Monday, October 31 (The teams are not at Lowe’s stores on Tuesdays):

Disaster Recovery Centers in Berks, Delaware, Schuylkill, and Snyder Counties to Close Friday, October 28, at 7 P.M.
HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) in Berks, Delaware, Schuylkill, and Snyder counties will close on Friday, October 28, according to officials from the Pennsylvania and Federal Emergency Management Agencies (PEMA and FEMA).
