HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Pennsylvanians who had losses because of Hurricane Irene or Tropical Storm Lee have just two weeks left to apply for disaster assistance. The registration deadline is December 14, 2011. The deadline to submit a disaster loan application to the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) for disaster-related losses is also December 14, 2011.

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- On Wednesday, Nov. 30, with individual assistance for damage following Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee well over the quarter billion dollar mark in federal aid approved, the FEMA/Commonwealth Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) located in Bradford, Columbia, Lebanon, Luzerne, Lycoming, and Wyoming Counties will close permanently. Their hours until they close on Nov. 30 are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The centers will not be open over the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend; they will reopen on Monday and close permanently on Wednesday.

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Close to $312 million in funding is approved for Pennsylvanians struck by Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee, announced the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA). The total to date includes $69.2 million in U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) low-interest disaster loans and $115 million in National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) claims settled.

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Certain private nonprofit organizations (PNPs) may be eligible for disaster assistance for losses suffered during Hurricane Irene and/or Tropical Storm Lee, announced the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The PNPs must meet certain federal and Commonwealth qualifiers to apply under the federal Public Assistance program.
