WINDSOR, Conn. -- Temperatures are expected to drop soon. Especially with damage following Tropical Storm Irene, now is the time for Connecticut residents to be sure their furnaces are operating and ready for cold weather. “As temperatures continue to drop, it will be important for Connecticut residents to check furnace efficiency, especially as we recover from Tropical Storm Irene,” said Reuben F. Bradford, Commissioner of the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection.
