ALBANY, N.Y. – The state and federal Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Cobleskill, operating from the Fire Department at 610 East Main Street, Schoharie County, will close Thursday, October 13, at 5 p.m., according to officials from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

ALBANY, N.Y. -- The state and federal Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Rockland County will close Thursday, October 13, at 8 p.m., according to officials from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).   Several DRCs remain open to serve the public. People who were unable to visit the Rockland facility closing Thursday can seek information and guidance at those facilities that continue to operate throughout the area affected by Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee. Currently, most of these centers are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

But even if you have physical limitations, you can still protect yourself by having a personal disaster plan in place. Local, state and federal officials are urging all Americans, especially senior citizens, to review, update and rehearse their disaster plans. By looking ahead, seniors can be prepared for any disaster, natural or manmade.

ALBANY, N.Y. – Federal and state emergency management officials said today that a Mobile Disaster Recovery Center (MDRC) will open for three days in New Paltz on Monday, Oct. 10, to assist individuals, households and businesses affected by Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee. The MDRC will be open through Wednesday, Oct. 12, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the New Paltz Town Hall, 130 North Chestnut Street.
