SAN JUAN, PR -- The Government of Puerto Rico and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will open tomorrow, a State/Federal Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Guaynabo to support survivors from Hurricane Irene which have already registered for disaster assistance with FEMA. SAN JUAN, PR -- The Government of Puerto Rico and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) officials announced that the State/Federal Disaster Recovery Center in Carolina will transition into a Small Business Administration (SBA) Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) on Monday, October 24, 2011. The DLOC will be open for one week in Carolina at the same location until Friday October 28, 2011. The DLOC operating hours will be from 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. at the following location:

SAN JUAN, PR -- Survivors receiving housing assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) are strongly advised to use their money wisely. As of today, FEMA and the Government of Puerto Rico have disbursed $23.3 million in disaster assistance to help survivors affected by Hurricane Irene.
