HARRISBURG, Penn. -- State and local agencies and certain private nonprofit organizations in Tioga, Lycoming, Sullivan, Wyoming, and Bradford counties that may be eligible for federal disaster assistance have only a few more days to apply before the August 12 deadline. Public Assistance (PA) funds for reimbursement or restoration are available in those counties as part of a presidential disaster declaration for damages by severe storms and flooding from April 25 - April 28.

Harrisburg, Penn. -- Officials from the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will hold Public Assistance applicant briefings for Tioga, Bradford, Lycoming, Sullivan and Wyoming counties on July 25, 26 and 27. The briefings will help representatives from the commonwealth, local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations apply for federal disaster assistance to support recovery from severe storms and flooding during April 25-28, 2011.

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced that federal disaster aid has been made available to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and ordered federal aid to supplement commonwealth and local recovery efforts in the area struck by severe storms and flooding during the period of April 25-28, 2011.
