WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced that federal disaster aid has been made available to the state of Arkansas to supplement the state and local recovery efforts in the area struck by severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding during the period of May 24-26, 2011.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Survivors of the storms, tornadoes and flooding that hit Franklin and Johnson counties May 24-26 can get their questions answered and register for state and federal assistance at Disaster Assistance Centers opening Saturday in Ozark and Clarksville. Specialists with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and U.S. Small Business Administration will be on hand at the centers to ensure homeowners, renters and business owners are fully informed of the grants and low-interest disaster loans that may be available.
