Portsmouth, N.H.. -- Deadlines are approaching for local officials in designated Maine counties to submit Requests for Public Assistance for reimbursement of snow removal costs incurred as a result of the record snowfalls of both Dec. 6-7 and Dec. 14-15, 2003, Federal Emergency Management Agency officials said today. The deadlines are as follows:

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. -- More Maine counties have been added to the list eligible for financial emergency assistance for snow removal costs incurred during the December record snowfalls, the head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced. Under Secretary Michael D. Brown, Department of Homeland Security , Emergency Preparedness and Response, said the additional assistance was approved based on a review by federal and state disaster recovery officials.
