WASHINGTON, D.C. ?- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security?s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) today authorized the use of federal funds to help California fight the Woodhouse Fire burning in Riverside County. R. David Paulison, Acting Under Secretary of Homeland Security for Emergency Preparedness and Response, said the state?s request for federal fire management assistance was approved after it was confirmed that the fire threatened the community of East Moreno Valley. The fire, which started yesterday, had consumed more than 2000 acres at the time of the request.
