News Release
Washington, D. C. -- FEMA Director Joe M. Allbaugh today approved a Fire Management Assistance Grant for the state of Oregon to help cover the costs of fighting the Flagtail fire in Grant County. Director Allbaugh approved the grant after the fire destroyed two structures and threatened 40 others as well as a major power line near the community of Bear Valley. The fire, which started on July 12, has burned more than 7,000 acres and has threatened to cause evacuations.
