Washington, DC -- Federal funds were made available today by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to help Colorado battle the uncontrolled Cedar Park fire located in Larimer County. According to the agency, the state's request for federal fire suppression aid was approved late this afternoon immediately after it was reported that the blaze had forced the evacuation of 100 homes in the Cedar Park Subdivision. The fire, which broke out earlier today, had burned 450 acres of land at the time of the request.
