WASHINGTON, D.C. -- FEMA has approved a fire suppression grant for Arizona for the Rainbow Fire that is burning in the Arizona. The fire is burning in Navajo and Gila counties. As of Saturday, June 12, the fire had consumed up to 5,000 acres on the White River Indian Reservation. The fire was threatening the towns of White River, Pine Top, Lakeside and Show Lo. Local officials report 15 homes have been destroyed on the reservation along with 13 other outlying structures.
