WESTFIELD, Mass. -- FEMA-Commonwealth Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) in Hampden and Worcester Counties are changing their hours of operation to serve residents who sustained losses from the severe storms and tornadoes of June 1. The Agawam DRC, located at the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency's (MEMA) Regional Office, 1002 Suffield St., Agawam, will be closing permanently at 7 p.m., EDT on Saturday, June 25. The hours for all remaining DRC locations for Sunday, June 26, will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., EDT.

BOSTON, Mass. -- Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) officials announced today that seven more Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) will officially open on Monday and Tuesday this week in Hampden and Worcester Counties in Massachusetts. Two DRCs already opened this past Saturday in Springfield and West Springfield, and seven more DRCs will open on Monday in Agawam, Brimfield, Sturbridge and Wilbraham, and on Tuesday in Monson, Southbridge and Westfield.

Disaster officials with the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) urge people with uninsured or underinsured losses to register for help as soon as possible.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced that federal disaster aid has been made available to Massachusetts to supplement the state and local recovery efforts in the area struck by severe storms and tornadoes on June 1, 2011. The President's action makes federal funding available to affected individuals in the counties of Hampden and Worcester Counties.
