BISMARCK, N.D. -- North Dakota residents and businesses in Barnes, Benson, Burleigh, McHenry, Morton, Ramsey, Renville, Richland and Ward counties, and the Spirit Lake Nation are encouraged to complete and return their SBA application. For individuals and businesses, U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) disaster loans are the primary source of money to pay for repair or replacement costs not fully covered by insurance. Those who have insurance do not have to wait for a settlement to apply.

BISMARCK, N.D. -- Homeowners can get information on how to make repairs to flood-damaged homes at a free Flood Repair Workshop on Sept. 10, 2011, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Law Enforcement Center, 205 6th St. SE, Jamestown. Federal Emergency Management Agency mitigation specialists will provide information on how to clean up mold and mildew and to protect homes from future flood damage. A representative from the National Flood Insurance Program will talk about flood insurance protection.

BISMARCK, N.D. – More than $302.7 million in federal and state disaster assistance has now been obligated to North Dakotans for this year’s spring flooding. The deadline to apply for three types of assistance for individuals and businesses is Sept. 22.

BISMARCK, N.D. — As the end of summer approaches, homeowners should ensure that their home-heating systems are in good working order, especially ones damaged by the spring floods. Federal disaster assistance may cover furnace repairs that are related to severe storms and flooding that occurred from Feb. 14 through July 20. It also may be available for cleaning and testing the flood-damaged furnace, or for replacement if the furnace is destroyed.

BISMARCK, N.D. — Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) will be closed Saturday, Sept. 3, through Monday, Sept. 5, for the Labor Day Weekend. They will reopen, Tuesday, Sept. 6. DRCs affected include: Bismarck Bank of North Dakota1200 Memorial Highway MinotWard County Courthouse315 Third St., SE Regular hours of operation for the DRCs are: Mon. – Fri. 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and closed on Sundays.
