BISMARCK, N.D. – More than $336.7 million in federal and state disaster assistance has now been obligated to North Dakotans for this year’s spring flooding. The deadline to apply for three types of assistance for individuals and businesses is Sept. 22.

BISMARCK, N.D. – There is only one week left for North Dakotans who had flood-related damage to their home, vehicle, personal property or business to register for state and federal disaster assistance. Residents must register with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and return their U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) loan applications by Thursday, Sept. 22 to be considered for FEMA and SBA disaster assistance.

BISMARCK, N.D. – Homeowners in Dickinson and surrounding areas can get information on how to reduce risk of loss from future disasters at a free Mitigation Workshop on Saturday, Sept. 17, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Dickinson City Hall, 99 2nd St., Dickinson, ND. Federal Emergency Management Agency mitigation specialists will provide information on how to protect homes from future flood damage, as well as tips on how to clean up mold and mildew. A representative from the National Flood Insurance Program will be on hand to explain the benefits of flood insurance.

BISMARCK, N.D. -- As North Dakota residents continue cleanup and recovery efforts following the spring floods, the two remaining Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) are on the move to new locations. The Bismarck DRC will shut its existing location at close of business on Saturday, Sept. 10, and reopen at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at a new location in the Mandan City Hall, 205 Second Avenue NW, Mandan ND 58554.
