COLUMBIA, Mo. -- As the six-month anniversary of the May 9, 2011, presidential disaster declaration for Missouri approaches, federal disaster grants and loans in Wayne County have reached $895,969, according to disaster recovery officials today. November 9, 2011 marks six months since the declaration for disaster damages that occurred from April 19 through June 6. The Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Individuals and Household Program has provided 74 households in Wayne County with total grants of $247,029.

November 9, 2011 marks six months since the declaration for disaster damages that occurred from April 19 through June 6. The Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Individuals and Household Program has provided 17 households in Stone County with total grants of $127,685.

JOPLIN, Mo. -- Federal Emergency Management Agency Administrator Craig Fugate traveled to Joplin, Missouri today to meet with local officials and get an update on how the community is continuing to recover from the tornado that struck the town last May. On behalf of President Obama, Fugate was on the ground in Joplin immediately after the tornado struck and spent days meeting with state and local officials on the ground, assessing the devastation, and determining how the federal family could best support the local response and recovery needs.

November 9, 2011 marks six months since the declaration for disaster damages that occurred from April 19 through June 6. The Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Individuals and Household Program has provided 58 households in McDonald County with total grants of $312,401.

November 9, 2011 marks six months since the declaration for disaster damages that occurred from April 19 through June 6. The U.S. Small Business Administration has provided $47,900 in federal disaster loans for Christian County residents and businesses.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Individuals and Household Program has provided 41 households in Bollinger County with total grants of $144,442.
