LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - A Disaster Assistance Center, the first of its kind in Arkansas, will be open Monday and Tuesday in Saline County to connect disaster survivors with federal specialists who can help them start their recoveries. The Disaster Assistance Center (DAC) will operate in the Saline County Office of Emergency Management, 102 S. Main, Level B, Benton, AR 72015. Hours both days are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - In just one month, nearly $18 million in state and federal disaster funds have been awarded to eligible individuals and families to assist with their recovery. Arkansans have already begun to rebuild and repair following a presidential disaster declaration on May 2, Arkansas Department of Emergency Management and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) officials said Thursday. In fact, the first disaster assistance grants reached some of the state's survivors weeks ago.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - If you received a letter from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) stating you're ineligible for disaster assistance, remember that your letter is the beginning, not the end, of a conversation between you and FEMA. Arkansans who have received notice from FEMA that they are not eligible for assistance related to the ongoing storms, tornadoes and flooding can ask the agency to revisit the decision. The letter contains information on how to submit requested documentation or file an appeal.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Federal disaster assistance has been extended again in Arkansas as a result of the storms, tornadoes and flooding that struck the state beginning April 23, the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) said Friday. Four counties in eastern Arkansas join the 26 others around the state that have been designated for federal Individual Assistance under the presidential disaster declaration and subsequent amendments. The newly added counties are Arkansas, Lee, Poinsett and St. Francis.
