RALEIGH, N.C. -- Bertie County’s Disaster Recovery will remain open until 5 p.m. Thursday, May 26. It will not close on Saturday, May 21, as previously announced. Those whose homes or businesses were affected by the April 16 storms and tornadoes can continue to get in-person help at the center daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The center is closed on Sunday and will close permanently at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 26.
