BERTIE GETS MOBILE DISASTER RECOVERY CENTER FOR TWO DAYS RALEIGH, N.C. – A mobile Disaster Recovery Center will be back in Bertie County for two days. The center will be open from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 3, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 4.

RALEIGH, N.C. – A Disaster Recovery Center will return to Bladen County for three additional days beginning Tuesday, May 31. The center will be open noon to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, and Thursday, June 2.

RALEIGH, N.C. – The immediate response to severe storms and tornadoes that hit central and eastern North Carolina on April 16 saddled communities with a lot of costly cleanup and infrastructure repair work. These costs are now being repaid through Public Assistance, a Federal Emergency Management Agency cost-share program which can reimburse local governments, state agencies and certain nonprofit organizations for eligible disaster-related expenses for debris removal, emergency services and repair and replacement of damaged infrastructure.
