Pasadena, CA -- As public agencies in Inyo, Kern, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Tulare counties  begin planning  winter storm recovery projects funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the California Emergency Management Agency (Cal EMA) they will consider environmental and historic matters as well as contracting issues.

Pasadena, Calif. -- On March 3, 2011, at the request of Mike Dayton, the acting Agency Secretary for the California Emergency Management Agency (Cal EMA), Madera and Mariposa counties were added by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), to the 10 original California counties included in President Obama's January 26, 2011, major disaster declaration.  As a result, state and local government agencies, special districts and certain private non-profit (PNP) organizations that provide essential governmental services in these counties may now qualify for state and federal reimbursements

Pasadena, CA.--  In the wake of the severe winter storms, flooding, debris and mud flows that occurred between December 17, 2010 and January 4, 2011,  207 government agencies, special districts and private non-profit organizations from the 12 counties included in President Obama's January 26, 2011, major disaster declaration and March 3, 2011 amended declaration have submitted Requests for Public Assistance (RPA), officials with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the California Emergency Management Agency (Cal EMA) reported today.

PASADENA, Calif. -- The California Emergency Management Agency (Cal EMA) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) are working cooperatively to implement a joint recovery strategy and have opened a Joint Field Office (JFO). Federal disaster funds are now available to supplement State, Tribal, and local recovery efforts for ten counties affected by severe winter storms, flooding, and debris and mud flows beginning in late December of last year.
