WEST DES MOINES, Iowa – Federal and state dollars continue to quickly flow into Iowa communities recovering from the severe storms, flooding and tornados that occurred from June 1 through Aug. 31, 2010. To date, more than $23 million in federal and state grants, U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) low-interest disaster loans, and public infrastructure funding has been approved or obligated.

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa – Mold can create serious health problems for residents recovering from the severe storms, flooding and tornados that occurred June 1 through Aug. 31, warn Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management and Federal Emergency Management (FEMA) officials overseeing the Iowa recovery effort.

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- Saturday hours at the Iowa Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) have changed, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced today. Until further notice, DRC hours are as follows: Monday through Friday: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday: Noon to 5 p.m.Closed Sunday FEMA officials also announced the Wright County DRC, located at the Clarion Police and Fire Department, 120 First Ave., S.W., Clarion, Iowa, will close permanently at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 29.
