OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- Oklahoma’s June 13-15 tornadoes and floods caused extensive damage to public buildings, roads, utility poles and other infrastructure in seven counties. Today, specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) are working with state and local officials to speed disaster assistance to Oklahoma.

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) today announced that federal disaster aid has been made available for Oklahoma and ordered federal aid to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the area struck by severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds, and flooding during the period of June 13-15, 2010.
